Integra2 brings together the pharmaceutical sector around Good Distribution Practices
Integra2 met Technical Directors and Quality Assurance professionals from different laboratories in Madrid and Barcelona last 23rd and 24th July. The goal of the meeting was to share information and generate networking over the role of transportation in the new GDP (Good Distribution Practices) legal frame.

These events were widely accepted by the industry, and especially among laboratories with high potential growth on transportation like Ferring, Grünenthal Pharma, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals or Laboratorios Leti in Madrid and Kern Pharma, B.Braun Medical, Fresenius Medical Care or Grifols in Barcelona.

Last 8th of March, the new Guidelines on Good Distribution Practices of Medicinal Products for Human Use were published in the EU Official diary. They will be mandatory on the 8th of September 2013.
In the last 30 years Integra2 had been actively participating in the physical distribution of pharmaceutical products, investing in continuous improvements and the best operational practices to guarantee the good conditions for medicines. Now we see how the new legal frame recognizes the complexity of the Pharma supply chain, the nature of the different agents and goes a step further on standardization process in the different countries of the EU.

One of the key points of this Norm is the need to keep the cool chain of medicines during transportation process which is set up by the QA (Qualified Person) in the laboratories. Integra2 is the transport company specialized in temperature control deliveries, with reliable delivery under the best conditions adapted to the service provided, and cold chain management providing temperature graph tracking.

This new regulation will force us to measure and strengthen the performance of all our operational processes according to GDP. At the same time it will give us the opportunity to enchant the market and contribute to the value of the company’s unique sale proposition.

Several months of hard work is in the wind for all the different agents in the Pharma Supply Chain. The exceptional Integra2 relationships with the Pharma sector, the high number of audits & validations coming from the laboratories and the ones that will come, help us to become a reference to follow in the Pharma industry to keep on growing and helping the growth of the other Group businesses which are closely linked to the sector.
